Galina D. Georgieva

Galina D. Georgieva graduated in Russian Philology from the University of Sofia. Her script for her first feature film Rehearsals won the first prize in the Nisi Masa international competition in 2007. She is the author (together with Blagoslav Nikolov) of the feature documentary about Sofia Street Prose (2011), selected in the competition of Sofia Film Fest, the Golden Rhyton Bulgarian Documentary and Animation Film Festival, etc. She graduated in Film Directing from New Bulgarian University. Her film Extra Safe was made within Prof. Georgi Djulgerov's Master Classes. The film was selected for Early Bird 9, Sofia, 2013, International Student Film Festival New Wave, Sofia 2014, The International Student Film Festival, Michigan, USA, 2014, #VOFF Relationship Status: It's complicated, 2014. She is the author of the experimental film Summer in Finland.
