Nikki Comninos

Nikki Comninos is a professional working in the industry as an editor and a director, but also someone with a hunger for adventure and interesting working environments. She is both well trained and experienced in video and television production. In 2015 she won a South African Film and Television Award for editing in the drama genre. In 2013 she was awarded the South African Editors Guild (S.A.G.E.) acronym for distinguished editors. She was also awarded Best Documentary Editor at the South African Film and Television Awards in 2011. She has over 50 screen titles to my name. She also has have nine years of theoretical and practical training at tertiary institutions. She have just completed my Ph.D in Creative Arts at Wits University. Her research assessed the relationship between autobiographical memory and home video recordings, how new digital formats have allowed home video to collapse the boundaries between personal and public, and have created new conventions of home video recording. It culminated in a 60 minute documentary film called 'Fraternal'. Her experience extends to drama, documentary, reality, commercials, corporates and short film.
