Merlijn Willemsen

Merlijn was born on December 18th 1999 in Haarlem, the Netherlands. In 2007 he moved to Zutphen, the Netherlands where he got his first video camera and started to make short movies with it. In 2012 he started making short movies with friends, his first production was a clip about the city he lives in, Zutphen. In the years that followed, he started making short fiction movies. He always planned to become an actor, until he realized that he only wanted that to be able to do something with film. He realized he wanted to become a director, until last year. He realized that he always focuses on getting the perfect image. Merlijn wants to become a cinematographer now and is planning to go to the Dutch Filmacademy and study cinematography.
