Jahmal Holland attributes his diversity and versatility to growing up in San Francisco, California, one of the most socially and ethnically diverse cities in the world. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of California Los Angeles, majoring in Anthropology and minoring in African American Studies. He considers his social science degrees to be pivotal to his writing. He has written and recorded songs in multiple genres including Hip Hop, Gospel, EDM and DubStep. His work has also included writing stage productions and music videos, along with acting, singing, hip hop and spoken word performances. Jahmal's first directing effort was a viral music video which attracted interest from CNN, The Discovery Channel and Intel Electronics. His most recent projects include writing the screenplay for the Nollywood feature "Still Standing", directing the short film "14 Minutes", and producing and directing the music video "Get it Right" for platinum recording artist Domino. Jahmal is pursuing a Master's of Fine Arts in Film and Television Production at the University of Southern California. He and his wife reside in Los Angeles.
