Johan Van Schaeren

Johan Van Schaeren is a producer, director and writer based in Leuven, Belgium. He was active as TV-maker and freelance journalist. He wrote several publications, a.o. "Milestones in Short Film History" (2011). Van Schaeren is currently mainly active in the field of documentary film en known for De Brand van Leuven (2014), Leuven Autovol & Autovrij (2015), De Leuvense Scene (2016) and Leuven '68 (2018). Johan van Schaeren is also founder and general coordinator of the Int. Documentary Film festival DOCVILLE, the Int. Short Film festival Leuven, Cinema ZED and Dalton Distribution.
