Edwin Scott

Edwin Scott is a retired Police Officer and Security expert known to fans for his work on the Syfy Channel production The Roswell Crash:Startling New Evidence (2002) hosted by Bryant Gumbel. He was born January 31, 1971 in Pampa, Texas and was raised there. In 1987 his family moved to Borger, Texas, where his family ran a construction business. In 1992 he married Deanna Fite and later that year their son John was born. Edwin attended Police Academy in Amarillo, Texas and for the next 18 years he would work in both private security and law enforcement. In 2001 he was contracted to provide security for the Syfy Channel's production, "The Roswell Crash: Startling New Evidence"(2002). He not only directed the security services for the production, but also was featured in the show with speaking and acting scenes. After the show aired Edwin returned to Texas where he returned to his law enforcement career and joined the the State Military Forces. He served for four years in the Texas State Guard and was honorably discharged. During that time he was deployed to both Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita. For his military service he was awarded numerous awards and honors. Edwin has earned an Associates of Arts Degree from Frank Phillips College and a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice Management from Wayland Baptist University. Edwin received a disabling injury while working undercover in 2009 and retired from law enforcement. He and his wife reside in Borger, Texas.
