Ryan DeForeest is a filmmaker and Co-Founder of the BXD Collective, an art collective based in Los Angeles, CA. In early 2021, he directed a short film/music video for artist Keith Buxton. He then moved on to being the Director of Photography of music videos for ADIV, Hunnah, and Jerreau. With that under his belt, he ended 2021 by directing the short film, "Happy Hour Live!" for singer/songwriter, Asia Simone.
In 2022 alone, he worked for companies such as YouTube, FlyOnTheWall Entertainment, Hoorae, and Billboard. And is working with artist Victoria Monét, as she documents the making of her next album (Jaguar Part 2).
He has a strong focus on telling stories about the experiences of the communities around him; in all film genres, on and off-screen (i.e. members of the Black LGBTQIA+ community, Black women, Black men, Black Non-Binary/Trans people, and other POC individuals).
