BigCat Trucker Born Ricky L Sylvester Jr. August 29, 1979 in Houston, Texas a trucker turned entertainer/actor. He is an Internet sensation that has burst onto the scene as one of the the most recognized faces to watch on the Internet and television from the trucking industry. Having successfully produced 2008 his own YouTube web show called "The BigCat Trucker Show" with series like "LaceUp" that began as a way for him to share his talents by giving advice & tips and a very entertaining way as he delved into the world of trucking. It quickly became apparent that BigCat Trucker had a gift for drawing people in and making them laugh. By 2010 BigCat's employer at the time Swift Transportation, one of the largest transportation companies in the United States, took notice and utilized BigCat's gift for connecting with people to make him the company's first ever spokesperson and social media brand ambassador. Never before in the history of the company have they ever given a new driver his own personalize custom truck. This innovative move by the company quickly change the face of the industry by using a character to represent their brand all over the country. This was not the "norm", BigCat Trucker began hitting the pavement hard with with already a strong Internet following, he became the most recognized name in the trucking industry and his social following begin to grow even larger. Soon his story was shared by various media outlets, radio, magazines and websites. It wasn't just the trucking industry that took notice of the newbie that took the industry by storm; BigCat Trucker also caught the eye of several web and TV production companies and big name cable networks like Discovery Channel, Travel Channel History channel and Cooking Channel and made the jump into the entertainment industry by filming a 20 episode TV series for the Discovery Channel 2010. And as the saying goes, the rest is history (in the making!) BigCat has continued his journey into entertainment by blowing up TravelChannel.com with his own series of webisodes showing his unique talent of entertaining and his love of travel and food. In 2013 he also appeared with celebrity chef Eden Grinshpan aka Eden Eats on her new TV show on the Cooking Channel called "Logon and Eat" with Eden Grinshpan He also recently collaborated with Travel Channel once more to shoot a new series that will bring you a taste of Texas where BigCat shows his costar the must stop hidden gems of the Lone Star state.
