Jacqueline Coombs

Biography

Jacqueline was born in Hampshire. A keen dancer she was accepted into the Royal Ballet School at the age of 9 and performed with the Royal Ballet at both Covent Garden and Sadler's Wells whilst at the school. On leaving School she began her professional dancing career with the Vienna Ballet Theatre. She joined the Gorlitz Ballet in 1995 and was promoted to Soloist the following year. In 1999 she joined the Royal Danish Ballet and the Royal Swedish Ballet in 2000. She has performed a wide selection of roles including leads in Romeo and Juliet, Swan Lake, La Sylphide, Scenes de Ballet and Walse Fantasy and worked with some of the best choreographers of our time including Mats Ek, Nacho Duato and William Forsythe. In 2010 she retrained as an Actor and graduated from the Central School of Speech and Drama in London in 2011. As an actor she has performed many roles on stage and screen. Highlights include, Lady Capulet in 'Romeo and Juliet', the lead in 'Rescue Me' and the feature film 'The Snare' due for release in 2015.
