Biography

Since 1991, Arsen Oremovic (1966.) he has been working as critic, journalist, columnist and editor in croatian daily Vecernji list. In 1999, he was the director of Pula Film Festival, participated in many film and music juries and was twice chosen as the president of Croatian Society Of Film Critics (2001., 2003.), branch of FIPRESCI. He published a collection of television and social commentaries "Those Lovely Creatures" (2007.), also published satirical lexicon "Let's Buy Croatian" (2010.) which he wrote in association with film director Ognjen Svilicic. Screenwriter and director of documentary film "Married To The Swiss Franc" (U braku sa svicarcem) (2013.), which received Human Rights Award at Sarajevo film festival and Grand Prix for best documentary film at Vukovar film festival. His second documentary "Castle Clash" (Sudar u dvorcu) had a rich festival life in Croatia, but also was invited to official competition of Lisboa Muvi Film Fest, Thessaloniki Documentary Film Festival etc. Recently finished his first short feature movie "Life Is Fair (Horvatovi).
