Born in the mid-west and raised in the desert, Zach found salvation in art. A creator not bound by a particular medium, he has written fiction, non-fiction, poetry, theatrical plays, screenplays, songs, and scores. Zach has produced, written, and directed short films Sexy Sadie, Fortune, Imperfect Fulfillment, Aesthetic, and Lily (co-produced by James Franco). He adapted and directed theatrical productions of Tennessee Williams' one-act "Why Do You Smoke So Much, Lily?"and Trey Parker's 1993 film Cannibal! The Musical, with all proceeds benefiting the Matlou Fund for HIV/AIDS relief in Botswana. He worked in production for Justin Beiber's Boyfriend music video, in post for Method Studios and Logan Media, and in marketing for Beyond the Box Productions. Zach trained at CalArts under the mentorship of Steve Anchor, James Franco, John Hawk, and Deborah LaVine.
