Biography

Born in Edmonton Alberta Canada, Kirk Langer won the Best Director award at the age of 19 for his first short film "Darkest Choices" at the Edmonton International Film Festival. His success continued for his short film "Epitaph", taking Best Original Screenplay at the UA Film Festival at the age of 24. He branched into multimedia when the internet exploded in the 90's and worked as an Adobe Certified Expert in graphic design for over ten years with his own company - Carbon 14 Graphic Art and Web Design. In 2011 his feature length script, "Natural Selection" garnered him $10,000 and he decided to attend VFS Vancouver Film School in 2012. After graduation Kirk joined the IATSE Cinematographers Union, where he continues to work in the camera department as an assistant camera person for film and television production. Kirk went on to write and direct his docudrama entitled "Dog and Town" in 2014 which was well received, though controversial. When not on set, Kirk Langer continues to write and direct his own projects, and is currently writing his second feature film entitled "Kearcher", and works as a graphic designer, creating theatrical posters and other marketing campaigns for the Hollywood film industry.
