Biography

Alexander Boyd Watson was born on May 11, 1990 in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. He grew up always loving to entertain people. When he was 21 he won his very first film award. The Salt Lake City Comedy Festival awarded him with Best Film for his comedy short, Party Pooper (2012). He then moved on to make commercials, training videos, and wedding videos, but he kept his love for narrative films by releasing the viral YouTube series, How I Feel When (2013). Later on he made a documentary that was also featured in the SLC Film Festival which got Audience choice as best documentary called, "I Dance U Smile". That ultimately lead to two other awards that he got from LucasFilms for his short film entitled, Star Wars: Journey of a Fan Film (2015). The two awards he was given for his documentary would include Audience Choice, and Best Film. He then ventured to try and shoot and complete his first Feature, Take Me Out. Test audiences and reviewers have given it high praise calling it, "The Stranger Things of Horror". From there Alex would go on two be a Show Runner/Director of the web-series, Funny Side Up (2016-2017) for two seasons after successful crowdfunding. Alex moved to Los Angeles in 2016 where he would focus on Editing while improving his skills as a story teller. As an Editor he got to work on such projects as American Airness (Feature), SoulPancake Show with Rain Wilson (YouTube), Grace and Frankie Trailer (Media Nursery), and at Fullscreen where he focuses on content for Fox Broadcasting. He has been at that company for 1 year. Alex has also had time to create a short film that was featured at Sundance Film Festival in 2018 called, Unsolved Murder 1999 (2017). He continues to work hard on a few TV Shows and Feature Films that is in development. He lives in Hollywood California at age 28.
