Anatoly K. Ivanov

French / Russian film director, cinematographer, designer and photographer born in 1980 near CERN, at the border between France and Switzerland. After spending the first 2 years in Geneva, moved with parents to Moscow (Russia) where he spent 15 years. That's where he started in professional still photography in 1997, after 3 years of classical painting. Moved to Paris (France), shortly afterwards, experimenting with work for the largest photography agencies of the time (Magnum, Sipa Press, Liaison, Gamma), but quickly opted for independent freelancing. Branched out into web and print design in 1999, and into written journalism in 2001. Combined photography, design and writing into filmmaking in 2011. Based in Paris (since 1997) and Geneva (since 2002).
