Biography

Rob started training in 1974 in Sankukai Karate under Alan (Butch) White, he earned his first black belt 5 years later, Rob went on to become the British Sankukai Karate Champion of Kata and Kumite for five years in a row,he then progressed to 3rd Dan. During his time in Karate Rob was always interested in Bruce Lee and his teachings, which took Rob on a completely different journey, his first exposure to these teachings was on a seminar in London with Larry Hartsell way back in the 80's where he also met, and become life long friend to 'Rick Young' and Bobby Breen. Rob then trained over a period of years under these three legends. Rob then went on to meet and train with 'Master Toddy (Thosophon Sitiwatjana)', Erik Paulson and Dan Inosanto. Rob then became an instructor trained and qualified by these great teachers of martial arts. Gaining qualifications along the way of 2nd Dan in Thai boxing and 8 year Associate level instructor under Dan Inosanto. Rob then furthered his marital arts career in Brazilian jiu jitsu under professor Mauricio Gomes and Roger Gracie who both qualified Rob to Blue Belt. Rob then encompassed an incredible fighting system called Keysi fighting method and trained under Justo Dieguez and Andy Norman for 12 years and Rob became an instructor and a UK Ambassador for KFM. To add to his achievements Rob gained third place, out of thousands of contestants on Sky One's TV show 'Britains Hardest' in 2005, which he entered for a bit of fun. Whist teaching Keysi to Stunt performer 'Jo McLaren' , Jo then introduced Rob to the world of Film and TV and became part of the team of _Hunted(2012)_ as Actor and stunt performer. Rob then worked on _Suffragette (2015)_ as Fight Consultant, for Stunt Co coordinator Paul Herbert. Rob continues to enjoy work in Film and TV.
