Wei Jiao

Wei Jiao is film director and Yurentang Drama Club founder. He was born and grew up in Beijing, China. Wei graduated from Beijing Film Academy in 2009. In the same year, he directed Grandpa's Dream and started his career in film industry. In 2012, Wei Jiao volunteered to work at Creativity Explored Studio 2, San Francisco, made the documentary film The Real Artist at Work. In the same year, his film, Running Shadow and Frozen Body, was awarded Special Distinction in the Fifth Annual Californa College of the Arts R.A.W. Film Contest. In the summer of 2013, Jiao moved to Syracuse, NY to approach his M.F.A degree in film at Syracuse University.
