Tommy grew up in Southern California and at 18 he joined the US Navy where he served as a Hospital Corpsman, until 1997. He attended college and worked towards getting a video editing certificate when he choose to begin working as a graphic designer instead. This would eventuality bring him back to his passion for filmmaking and working with video. As an Art Director he stood up the video production arm of Think!City in the late 90's under the tutelage of his mentors David Miller and Jim Duron (Big Blue Marble. circa 1970's TV). After Think!City closed he continued to freelance in video but ultimately decide in 2004 to re-enlist and severe again. He deployed to Iraq in 2006, on March 06 2007, he was wounded a Suicide Vehicle Bomber and became a patient at Fallujah Surgical laying the ground work for the current series by the same name he is developing. After being medically retired in 2011, Tommy created a series of shorts, including Awakened, A Very Homeless Christmas and Grief before stepping away from writing and directing for several years to deal with lingering issues from his time in Iraq. In 2020 he began focusing on his passion once again.
