Keri Kidder is an LGBT Community Activist/Advocate for gay, lesbian, bi-sexual and transgender (LGBT) equality in Jacksonville, Florida. Keri is one of the co-founders of the Jacksonville Committee for Equality, the group that led the 2012 effort to pass an amended human rights ordinance (HRO) in Jacksonville that was finally passed on February 14th, 2017 after a long struggle to add protections and a name change of the group to the Jacksonville Coalition for Equality. The HRO added protections from discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity and expression in the workplace, housing, and public accommodation. She was also an original founder of the first Northeast Florida LGBT Political Action Committee . Keri also has worked tirelessly for marriage equality nationwide and has led numerous successful rallies and town halls to advocate for marriage equality after the final dismantling of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). She has participated in Pride parades and speaking events all around the nation.
