Alex Diaz

James Alexander Diaz McDermott is a Scottish/Filipino Triple Threat Actor, Recording Artist and Producer from The Philippines. He is the youngest son of Michael McDermott Snr. (Producer) and Jeannie Diaz McDermott. He began his career in 2012 as a Rookie Radio Jock for Monster Radio RX 93.1 (2012) where he honed his skill in extemporaneous public speaking and improvisation. In, 2013 he was selected by Star Magic Talent Management to become a member of the highly publicized Star Magic Circle 2013 among other emerging stars like Julia Baretto, Liza Soberano and Khalil Ramos where his career as an actor began. From acting in films and ABS-CBN Drama's like Got To Believe (2013) , Bagito (2015) , She's Dating The Gangster (2014), Dagsin (2016) , Just The Way Your Are (2015) and Wansapanataym (2016) among others, Alexander quickly honed his on-screen talent before venturing into Hosting where he was selected as one of the mainstay host on the popular music channel MYX (2015) opening him up to becoming a heavily sought after corporate and industry events host. From there, Diaz ventured into Theatre, starring as the spunky Newsie Race Higgins in the Philippine production of Disney's Newsies (2017), a critically acclaimed, award winning and top grossing Broadway musical where he was able to showcase his skill as a triply threat, rehearsing daily for 6 months in Gymnastic's, classical voice training and various genres of dance (Ballet, Contemporary, HipHop, Jazz & Tap). At present, Alexander is managed under Cornerstone and The Integritas Group Film, TV and Media Corporation (TIG) based in the Philippines. He is currently acting on projects for Cignal TV and Disney Asia as well as the new Suspense Thriller "Escape"(2019) under TIG Alexander resides in Manila, Philippines and is set to release an Album under Cornerstone Music this 2019.
