Neville Kiser

Biography

Neville Kiser was born in Greenville, South Carolina and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the fourth of eight children and son of a preacher and high school English teacher. He received his BA in Journalism from Taylor University, a small liberal arts college in Indiana. During his studies, he spent a semester in Los Angeles and interned for legendary director/producer/writer Garry Marshall at Henderson Production. Following this, he pursued a MA in Theology and the Arts at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA. During his graduate studies, he spent two years living and teaching in rural China at a university in the Shandong province. Upon his return to the States, he received his MFA in Screenwriting from UCLA, under the instructor/mentorship of Dustin Lance Black. Kiser's feature script, "Man of Sorrow" -- based on the tragic true story of the final years of Oscar Wilde's life -- landed on the annual Hollywood Black List in December 2013. He is repped by Peter Dealbert of Pacific View Management, and Keya Khayatian, Amanda Hymson and Amanda Burnett of UTA.
