Roberto Doveris is a graduated filmmaker of 29 years old, and currently is studying a master degree in Art Theory at the Universidad de Chile. He's Editor in Chief at CinemaChile, the international agency to promote Chilean cinema in the world, and also runs his own company Niña Niño Films since 2010, where he has directed more than 30 video clips, NGO videos and several short films selected at international film festivals. He also produces feature films and documentaries, highlighting Las Plantas (Plants), his first feature film as director in co-production with Rocío Romero (Mimbre Producciones). The film was internationally premiered in Generation 14+ at the BERLINALE 2016, awarded with the Grand Jury Prix for Best Feature Film and a Special Mention from the Young Jury. The project also won the Epicentre Film Award at BAL 2015 and was selected in Bal goes to Cannes.
As director/producer he has participated at Nuevas Miradas of EICTV (Cuba), in the Taller Colón of Fundación Typa (Argentina), in Sanfic Industria (Chile) and was invited for the program Raymundo Gleyzer of INCAA (Argentina). He has been awarded at Encuentros Cartagena (Colombia), Bafici's BAL (Argentina) and in FicValdivia's AustraLab (Chile), and he has been present at the Marché du Film in Cannes, at the Berlinale's EFM, in Locarno Industry Days, in Docs for Sale at IDFA and in Ventana Sur.
Currently (2016) he produces the feature film El Príncipe (Prince) by Sebastián Muñoz, La hija (The Daugther) by Isabel Orellana and the co-production between Argentina and Chile Los nombres propios (Proper Names) by Fernando Domínguez. Also he's developing his second feature film Colombina Records, also co-produced along Rocío Romero from Mimbre Producciones.
