Biography

Antonio Dezner was born in Villahermosa, Tabasco, México. Throughout his childhood and youth he lived in the very same house for 18 years with his mother and grandparents. It was not until graduating high school that he moved to Puebla, México. He studied filmmaking for two years at Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla in Puebla, México, but quit it and moved to Mexico City. It was then that he studied at Escuela Activa de Fotografía graduating as a still photographer. After having written numerous short film scripts, he produced and directed an independent short film called "Días pequeños" (Little days) that was shot entirely in his native Villahermosa. The project came to life thanks to the collaborative effort of many students from different film schools in Mexico. When the filming of his first short film was completed, Dezner collaborated in numerous projects with students of Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica in Mexico City. He also worked in the production of the feature film "Semana Santa" directed by Alejandra Márquez and the documentary "Takeda" directed by Yaasib Vazquez.
