American professional wrestler known for his time in CHIKARA. At "CHIKARA Caught in the Spider's Den," February 26, 2012, a man in a Green Ant mask attacked Mike Quackenbush during the Quackenbush/Jigsaw/The Colony (Fire Ant and Soldier Ant)-the BDK (Tim Donst/Jakob Hammermeier)/The Batiri (Obariyon and Kodama) match, giving Quackenbush's team the win by disqualification. The man in the Green Ant mask was followed by a man in a purple and black mask (the Shard (John Silver), who attacked Jigsaw and three ants, assailANT (Nelson Ortiz) (in a blue outfit), combatANT (yellow outfit) and deviANT (purple.) The man in the Green Ant mask (17 (Kyle Matthews) removed it to reveal a blue and yellow mask. This group's name would be revealed to be GEKIDO (Japanese for "Wrath.") They were intended to be the evil counterparts of five of CHIKARA's top tecnicos (faces/good guys). deviANT was supposed to be the Swarm's (the name for the ants) version of Green Ant, although he didn't behave much like him. GEKIDO slowly fell apart due to Quackenbush injuring 17 and combatANT and sending them out of CHIKARA. At "CHIKARA Battle Not With Monsters," deviANT resurfaced as the newest member of the Colony: Xtreme Force (Missile Assault Ant (R.B. Banks), Orbit Adventure Ant and Arctic Rescue Ant). After the Spectral Envoy (Hallowicked and Frightmare) defeated deviANT and Orbit Adventure Ant by disqualification at "CHIKARA Tag World Grand Prix 2013: 1st Stage," May 18, 2013, deviANT seemingly disappeared. He defeated Green Ant at the August 17, 2013 Wrestling Is Intense show. The Osirian Portal (Amasis and Ophidian) defeated deviANT and Arctic Rescue Ant at the September 29, 2013 Wrestling Is Respect show. The reunited GEKIDO, with a replacement 17, attacked at the September 15, 2013 Wrestling Is Intense show during the Jervis Cottonbelly vs. Darkness Crabtree main event, "killing" Crabtree and tearing down the promotion. This was during the time when the groups (GEKIDO, BDK, Sidney Bakabella's Wrecking Crew, the Colony: Xtreme Force, Sinn Bodhi's Odditorium, and Dr. Cube's Posse) that in 2014 would make up the Flood in CHIKARA were destroying the various Wrestling Is promotions. At the CHIKARA return show "CHIKARA You Only Live Twice," May 25, 2014, the Throwbacks (Dasher Hatfield and "Mr. Touchdown" Mark Angelosetti) defeated GEKIDO (17 and deviANT), 3.0 ("Big Magic" Shane Matthews and Scott "Jagged" Parker) and Pieces of Hate (Jigsaw and the Shard) in a four-way tag match. Worker Ant (the former, reformed assailANT) defeated deviANT at "CHIKARA Quantum of Solace" on June 21, 2014. At "CHIKARA Goldfinger" on June 22nd, the Colony (Fire, Silver [formerly Green] and Worker) and the Batiri (Obariyon and Kodama) defeated the Flood team of Jimmy Jacobs, Ares, deviANT, Oleg the Usurper and Volgar (Lucas Calhoun) via Obariyon forcing deviANT to tap out to the CHIKARA Special. The Flood, led by Deucalion (Stephen King), made their way out and it looked like Deucalion was going to punish Jacobs for the loss, until Jacobs told Deucalion that deviANT was to blame. Deucalion gave deviANT the chokebreaker, killing off the character, and he has not been seen anywhere since.
