Johnna Leary is a quirky actress and relatable girl next door who is local to the Pittsburgh metro area. She frequently appears on historical mini series or criminal recreation dramas, while playing roles ranging from a nerdy high school student on "Evil Kin" (ID Channel) to a Civil War saloon girl on "The American West" (AMC) or a Revolutionary War housewife on "Legends and Lies: The Patriots" (FOX). Growing up as the daughter of two teachers who were not involved with show business, Johnna remains very down to earth and adorably awkward. As a dorky history lover, she always enjoys time-traveling on historical series that feature some comedy, such as "The Good Lord Bird" (Showtime). Johnna is also a musical theatre actress and singer and has appeared in live stage shows at The Kennedy Center, Totem Pole Playhouse and Pittsburgh Musical Theater. She sang soprano backup vocals on East Coast tour stops for both Josh Groban and Sarah Brightman and Johnna is also a member of the Equity Membership Candidate program through the Actor's Equity Association. When not appearing on the screen or the stage, Johnna loves to read, play piano, swim, sew some cross stitch or continue adding shows from several years ago that she still hasn't seen yet, and knows she needs to, onto her Netflix list.
