At just 7 years old Jordyn's passion for the arts ignited when she began performing regularly in community theatre productions in her hometown of Anchorage, Alaska. By 16 she moved to Los Angeles in pursuit of a career in film and television, after being awarded a scholarship opportunity to train at a youth acting program at UCLA. Upon completion she was promptly signed by a talent manager and agent. After many "pinnings" and close calls with success, the writers' strike compelled Jordyn to seek an alternate path.
Awarded yet another talent scholarship, this time, from Santa Fe University of Art and Design, Jordyn relocated to New Mexico, to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Musical Theatre with a focus on filmmaking. There she studied acting under the tutelage of theater legend, playwright and director Jon Jory, Robert Benedetti, Gail Springer and more. Upon graduating, she began steadily booking acing jobs on major television and feature films.
Jordyn spends her time working between Los Angeles and Santa Fe acting, coaching privately, writing, and producing content for herself and small businesses. As the youngest board member of New Mexico Women in Film, Jordyn's moxie and focused enthusiasm has lead to 'Ready, Set, Film NM!', a web based interview series she is producing with Marisa Jimenez Xotchl, spotlighting film professionals working in and with the New Mexico film industry.
In 2018, Jordyn co-wrote her first feature film, an adaptation of the NY Times Bestseller 'The Dirty Girls Social Club' alongside novelist, Alisa Lynn Valdes, which garnered interest by major studios. Shortly thereafter, Jordyn penned her second feature length film 'And Now We're Here' with writer and actress Rachel Robyn Wagner, and optioned the film to Emmy nominated producers, Lisa Lucas and Sarah Gartner of Likeminds Productions.
A quadruple threat, Jordyn is primed, dynamic and dedicated to storytelling on the stage, screen, and behind the camera, too. She is passionate about female centric projects spotlighting women of color and marginalized social groups. Watch for her in the upcoming films, The Surrogate, Army of the Dead, and Silk Road.
