Janell Lenfert

Biography

Janell Lenfert is an actor, writer, voice over actor, host, improviser, and sketch comedy comedian. She is currently in acting classes at Stan Kirsch Studios and has also studied acting with Lesly Kahn, Anthony Meindl, and Killian McHugh. She has studied and completed the sketch and improv programs at both The Groundlings and UCB. She performs improv and sketch regularly with her teams Duke and Simmercon at iO West. Janell has also studied sketch and sitcom writing as well. She's done voice overs for video games, commercials, and has done mocap with Sony. She was recently selected out of over 5,000 applicants as 1 of 60 comedy writers for the 2015 CBS Diversity Sketch Showcase and successfully got 3 pieces into a 24 piece show. Her work has been featured in the LA Scripted Festival, and the LA Women's Comedy Festival. She has completed the "Pretty Funny Women" stand-up course with Lisa Sundstedt, and can be seen doing stand-up at Flappers and The Comedy Store. She has also appeared in multiple short films and web series through her YouTube Team, Science and Fiction Films. She performed dance competitively throughout high school and holds a BA in Marketing and Sales through Indiana University. Originally from the border of Indiana and Kentucky, Janell is a small town girl who brings a big time personality to all her performances.
