Born in 1997, Max Cho is a freelance documentary producer and director. His very first documentary was The Darkest Secret (2012), which was produced at a camp held at Stanford University. In the production process, Cho met mentor Brandon Criswell, an experienced VFX artist at Comen VFX who is mostly known for his VFX work on Shutter Island (2010) and Pearl Harbor (2001). Cho's first experience in documentary production culminated into becoming the start of an early, blossoming career.
Cho is an advocate for eradicating world poverty, often thematically centering his work around the cause. Having traveled to Laos in March, Cho directed Swords Into Ploughshares (2013), a documentary that takes the audience into one of the United States' darkest historical moments.
