Biography

Adam Moloney is a speaker, media creator and street activist from Kent, UK. Growing up in working class modern England he clashed ideologically with the pressures of employment and money. Following the economic crash of 2006 Adam realised there was something wrong with the idea of using a monetary system, and began researching alternative socioeconomic ideas with the intent to present them to governments. After watching Zeitgeist: Addendum in 2009 and learning of The Zeitgeist Movement (TZM) and it's advocation of science and sustainability applied to social and environmental concern, he began is own path of inspiring change. Since 2011 he has created for youtube, a monthly podcast entitled "ATZM Podcasts" featuring other TZM activists, Q&A and topical discussion, powerpoint presentations discussing transition issues and the maximising of self-esteem, a documentary entitled "Life on the Soap-Box" chronicling his journey and obstacles as an activist, and a short fictional film trilogy entitled "The Sweep" amongst other activist related media. His work with TZM includes numerous approaches to activism such as public megaphone speaking, where he takes to a busy high street to provide comical social commentary, "Free Hugs", assisting with information stalls on London's South Bank, and the Annual "ZDay" conference, which has seen him speaking in Maidstone, Worthing, Brighton, Eastbourne and London, in addition to hosting the London event 2 years running. His press exposure to date includes the Kent Messenger newspaper which covered his Free Hugs campaign, the BBC Jeremy Vine Show where he has spoken about a Resource-Based Economy, and the LBC James O'Brien Show where he has discussed political dysfunction.
