Dylan Richards

Biography

Dylan Richards was born in New York City to Bruce Richards and producer, Avis Richards. He attended Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School, where he was a star high school varsity athlete and baseball player. Dylan's interest in food culture began when he didn't like the food his school was serving. Hungering for healthy fruits and vegetables, he would sneak out of school during lunch and go to a nearby organic food store. At age 15, he made his television host debut in a segment on Lunch NYC, reviewing organic and sustainable restaurants in the New York City area. The show premiered on the television channel, NYC Life, and garnered three Emmy award nominations. Lunch NYC's success prompted Birds Nest Foundation to green light a successor named Dylan's Lunchbox, with Dylan serving as the eponymous host. Dylan co-authored the book, "The Growing Athlete" to accompany the show. The book is being published by Random House Publishing in 2016. Today, Dylan is going into his sophomore year at the University of Pennsylvania where he is studying economics. He is also an active member of his fraternity, THEOS and continues his interest in baseball.
