Chris is a writer and director from the UK.
Chris's short films have screened at film, photography and art festivals globally, including Arterial (2012), Cumulus (2014) and Sulphur (2016). In 2018, his feature documentary New Town Utopia was released theatrically to widespread acclaim, including four-star reviews in The Guardian, The Times and The Financial Times. It screened at festivals around the world and was selected as 'Best of the fest' at Rotterdam Architecture Film Festival.
New Town Utopia is a cross-platform project also comprising a publication of poetry, photography and theory (featuring contributions from Jonathan Meades, Owen Hatherley and Gillian Darley), and a video installation entitled New Town Utopia x Magic Party Place. This collaboration with photographer CJ Clarke has exhibited at the Sharjah Biennale (Beirut), Format Photography Festival and Rich Mix, London.
Chris is currently developing film and television projects, including the supernatural anthology series Unholy Island and the documentary Believe Nothing, about comedian Ken Campbell. He also works as a commercials and content director.
