Tomás Pichardo-Espaillat

Tomás Pichardo-Espaillat (March 2, 1987) is a Dominican animator and filmmaker based in Treviso, Italy. Born in the Dominican Republic, Pichardo spent his childhood living in Santo Domingo, the capital, before going on to study painting and illustration at Altos de Chavon, School of Design in La Romana, where he graduated with the highest honors and a full scholarship to study at Parsons, The New School of Design, in New York. Deciding to make a transition to moving images, he devoted himself to the animation medium by entering to the film and animation program. Tomás eventually was granted the full year scholarship at Fabrica, Benetton's Design Research Center in Treviso, Italy.
