James M. Perry was born in Baltimore Maryland. He was raised by a single mother in Annapolis Maryland where he spent most of his childhood years living in multiple cities throughout Maryland. Perry went to Meade High on the army base of Ft. Meade and Paterson in East Baltimore. Surrounded by various adversities he overcame the odds and produced his first music video at sixteen. The self taught Perry soon turned to the creative world of filmmaking as he frequently worked with House of Card's production assistant Kara Tabor and international cinematographer Jared Noe. Perry would collaborate with Noe again on his written/directorial debut short film 'Disillusion' and production on 'Indoctrination' which Perry was also the post production manager. Perry then collaborated with Nicolette Ellis and produced the independent film 'Stiletto Dreams', which has sold out multiple screenings including The People's Film Festival.
