Priscila Guedes

Biography

Priscila Guedes was born in Rio de Janeiro and studied International Relations as her first major. Later she entered the National School of Arts of the Federal University where she studied Visual Arts. Guedes has lived for more than 14 years in Europe, and worked in Switzerland, Portugal and France. When living in France she majored in cinema at Les Ateliers de l'Image et du Son and later also specialized in High-tech Cinematography. Priscila signs the Cinematography of a few feature-length fiction films in the european market, such as Skokan (from director Petr Václav) and Un Profil Pour Deux (from director Stéphane Robelin). The latter made Priscila eligible for LE CÉSAR award in Best Direction of Photography 2018. An immersive cinema enthusiast, actually Priscila writes and directs immersive films around the world. Some of her latest on-going projects in production are: "Catalepsy", "The Queen of the Forest", "Chasing Mana" and some others fictions. She is launching in January 2021, UMA, her new label and production company focused in narrative projects by traditional film industry and also extended reality (XR) narratives. She is based in the French Switzerland.
