Biography

Born and raised in a small town in Southern California, Josh moved to San Francisco to get a degree in Cinema Production in 2005. He's been a camera operator, editor, and director ever since as the Production Manager for Upstart Media (www.upstartmedia.tv). Working with company's as large as Google, Facebook, Youtube, Turner Sports Network, to small bootstrapped startups, to music acts like Moby & Cypress Hill Josh has run the gambit of production. Despite spending so much time behind the camera, being featured as the subject of a MTV True Life Documentary in college, his former history as a professional Mixed Martial Arts athlete, and a general enjoyment of being in front of the camera has yielded him a few interesting opportunities along the way and fostered a small film career. From stunt work, small roles of the tough guy variety, as well as on set fight choreography and cartoon voiceover work, it can be said he's eclectic in his love for all things cinema. He's also founded a non-profit that does free media production work for good cause organizations entitled Visual Anarchy. The goal of which is to level the playing field for smaller non-profits and other philanthropic organizations and citizens group to have access to professional video that they couldn't otherwise afford. His first feature length documentary, co-directed with Rainer Cvillink, is a film about homelessness in America entitled The Invisible Class. It's being released soon.
