Stanley Allyn Owen

Biography

Stanley Allyn Owen studied vocal performance and musical theatre at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. During his studies he booked the 25th Anniversary International Broadway Tour of Cats. After two years and over 600 performances as a swing covering the roles of Munkustrap, Rum Tum Tugger, Skimbleshanks, Gus, Growltiger, Bustopher Jones, Stanley decided it was time to leave the junkyard and move to New York City. Shortly after, he booked national tours of Little Women and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and a production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, simultaneously, and ultimately chose to play Pharaoh in Joseph. The Edge Boston said "Owen's Pharaoh-as-Elvis gave me chills with his dead on impersonation". Stanley was seen in The Atlanta Lyric Theatre's RENT (Roger - Suzi Bass Best Actor Award Nomination). In 2012 he performed on Broadway in The Gypsy of the Year and The Easter Bonnet Competition helping to raise money for BC/EFA. Album; Winter Night, A Clear Midnight, Love is Christmas. In 2009, Stanley provided the voice of the Elf for The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition. Stanley was most recently seen as Tateh in Ragtime the Musical at the Atlanta Lyric Theatre. Stanley is a proud member of The Actor's Equity Association.
