Biography

Elsa Turull de Alma, born on August 21st, 1973, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Graduated with a degree in Marketing and Public Relations, marks her first step into the film industry as Executive VP at Larimar Films SRL (2010). Larimar Films SRL is a film production company established in the Dominican Republic after the approval of the law N0.108-10 for the promotion of the local film activity. Elsa is best known for the Local Box Office Hit "¿Quién Manda?" marking a distinct higher level of quality, gaining respect from home-based and experienced producers and being recognized as one of the most influential women in the local film industry. Her experience includes working as Executive Producer in the film "Los Súper" Directed by Bladimir Abud, winner of Gold in the Festival Internacional de Publicidad Caribe 2014 in the category of Low-Budget Advertising Campaign for TV; and General Producer in "¿Quién Manda?" directed by Ronny Castillo, winner of several awards such as Best Movie and Best Comedy in the 2013 Premios La Silla, Best Movie in the 2014 Premios Soberano as well as Audience Award for Best Actress in 2014 Premios Platino. With "¿Quién Manda?" success, it's currently being negotiated for the remake rights by Lantica Media in association with Pantelion Films. Her portfolio continues to expand in movies like: "Al Sur de la Inocencia" (2014), directed by Héctor M. Valdez, "Código Paz" (2014) directed by Pedro Urrutia, "De Pez en Cuando" (2014) directed by Francisco Valdez and Camino a Higüey (2015) directed by Abinadab (Abby) Alberto.
