Shenai Hylton was born in Montreal, Quebec Canada. At an early age, her family moved to Jacksonville, Florida. Her interest for TV & Film struck when she began taking acting classes in high school. Also, vibrantly mimicking different characters in front of family and friends. She enjoyed becoming another character and developing inner monologues that entertained everyone.
Her passion grew and she contacted film departments from local colleges and universities, to find out how to get involved. Her first on screen debut was a short film called Asesina, created by Drew L Brown (Winner of the 2014 Gold Student Academy Award). Later, she was cast in another student film called Trigger Happy. Playing the lead female character (Fern), a teenager lost in her endeavors unable to face the harsh realities of life. Another opportunity came knocking, when she was cast in a comedy skit called Vaudeville Comedy, Then and Now.
While submitting auditions, she fell in love with commercial print. Shenai was signed by Denise Carol Models and Talent Agency. Immediately, she began booking print work and live appearances, features include: Dollywood Theme Park, Essence Magazine, Rethreaded, Black Enterprise, Disney, 16SixteenLife, Crème of Nature, Kemper Ad Insurance, Meow & Barks Boutique, Uncle Funky's Daughter, River City Live, and so much more.
She temporarily interrupted her career after deciding to enroll at Florida State College at Jacksonville, where she earned a Bachelors degree in Converged Communications.
After graduating, she began a YouTube channel called "My Life As Shenai Hylton". Building a platform where she had the freedom to be express herself and share her personal life experiences. Topics ranging from natural hair care, comedic social challenges, fashion, and a vlog series called "Interracially Us".
Today, Shenai is back in acting classes building her craft. While exploring the Southeast area, in hopes to further her TV and Film acting career.
