Bryan Stanislas

Bryan first started using cameras when he was around six years old as he received one as a present from his Grandfather and was soon to discover the magical world of Jacque Cousteau's 'The Silent World' film and the 'Underwater World' series of programs on Saturday morning TV back in the 1970s, beginning his journey in becoming an underwater filmmaker. As an underwater cameraman qualified to UK HSE Commercial specifications as a Media Diver and Diving Instructor he has over 25 years experience in the film and marine industry. He first started surface filming in the early '90s and quickly moved into underwater filming and photography. He has also worked in Special effects specializing in water and fire-related SFX with extensive safety background knowledge in both areas. As an accomplished surface marine camera operator qualified to work/film at height and aerial filming he is also trained to work/film in conflict/volatile situations as well as remote locations. As a qualified Medic and HSE First Aid at Work Instructor and Trauma Care Instructor with Defibrillators he also has extensive 'real world' extreme trauma care experience working as a firefighter for over 15 years. Bryan has also undertaken different aspects of the production industry to gain a greater understanding of processes in order to provide better services for the roles in which he is employed. Over the last several years he has worked with great success in Dressing Props on various productions bringing his abilities and skills together to assist Set Decorators and Propsmaster in creating visually stunning scenes. Over the years Bryan has been educated and become proficient in a wide variety of skills including fabrication, welding, and carpentry as well as other DIY skills that are vital for a 'can do' success in the dressing props media industry.
