Joshua Thaddeus Hill is an artist, author, and actor known for The Oldest Story Ever Told (2010). He was born and raised in New Orleans, LA. Growing up in a multiracial family, Joshua has often struggled with racial identity. His mother, a teacher, and his father, a projectionist encouraged Joshua to listen to the stories of others so that he might better understand his own. Finding common ground in different voices only fueled his passion for storytelling.
A multi-genre writer, Joshua primarily writes horror. Running around a cemetery near his childhood home inspired a penchant for the macabre. Drawing from his own fears, Joshua brings frightful elements into all of his work. Joshua views horror as a reflection of human nature, an exploration of the monsters inside of us. Regardless of how normal someone may seem, we're all hiding something. Through acting, painting, or writing, for Joshua, art is about revealing those secrets we hide from even ourselves.
