Biography

Ryan L. Sievers is an accomplished business strategist and entrepreneur. In 2001 Ryan founded Sievers & Co., a business strategy consultancy with a reputation for innovative solutions. The Iowa native has lived on three continents and has worked with a diverse amalgam of clients across many industries. Ryan taught as an adjunct professor of business for five years, and spent three pioneering years at Microsoft developing strategic programs to improve the agility of his division. In 2011 Ryan returned to his Midwest roots to claim Chicago as his home and to co-found Marc-Ryan Group, a publishing, media, and services company. His first major publishing project was his husband Marc J. Sievers' first cookbook, Entertaining with Love, which Ryan designed and photographed. Ryan shares with Marc a love of food and culinary exploration which lead them to be cast as a team on Food Network's competition show Bobby's Dinner Battle, hosted by Bobby Flay. After competing against two other Chicago home cook teams, they won the title of Best Home Cooks of Chicago. Following Marc-Ryan Group's successful launch his and brief winning appearance on Food Network, Ryan spent two years as a program management leader at the movie rental company Redbox. Today Ryan is Delivery Leadership Consultant in the Chicago office of Slalom Consulting where he is a sought-after trusted advisor, mentor, and speaker. Ryan received his BA in Anthropology from Iowa State University, and his MBA in International Management from the United Business Institutes in Brussels Belgium. He lives in Chicago's Gold Coast with his husband Marc.
