Clark has had his music placed in Films, TV and has won several songwriting competitions throughout his career. Working close with long time friend Sean Spittler(NYU Film). Clark's upbringing was irregular to say the least; his mother moved around constantly which made him the proverbial "new kid", giving Clark inspiration to write down his feelings. Blooming late as a composer, Clark did not write his own music until he was in his early 20's. Before that he mainly wrote short stories and poems.
Shannon Perry Clark has a variety of musicians that rotate and create his house band; his percussionist Brittany Clark (his wife & a permanent staple) has been touring and creating music and inspiring music for over a decade. They met while playing in popular rock bands in early 2003 and quickly fell in love. The couple had continued to play and tour the US for several years in the band "Everybody Else Wins" and enjoyed moderate success and a small following of fans.
Then in 2005 they had their first Child, which then ended the current band as Brittany took time off to stay home with their child. Clark then joined a collaboration of musicians and friends in Canton, OH and jointly created the band "Goodnight LA", whose debut album showed much promise. The group began a US tour and building a strong fan base. Just when the band began getting industry attention, Clark was expecting his second child -- 2 weeks after his 2nd daughter was born he received news that she had a rare heart condition and needed surgery immediately. Clark left the band to be with his family, a few days later they lost their child. Clark didn't write or compose music for over 2 years. Finally getting his feet wet again with new inspiration, Clark will released "Carry Me" , his first full length album in 5 years.
