Derek Russell Goulet is a filmmaker and musician, known mostly for being a film/video editor, born in Attleboro, Massachusetts. He attended Fitchburg State University in Fitchburg, MA as a communications major with a concentration in video production/post-production. In 2012, his work on a 5-minute short entitled, "The Juniper Tree", was nominated for Best Editing at the national Campus Movie Festival competition in Hollywood, CA.
He was and still is always fascinated with the arts and as a freshman in college, helped to form the band, Kid Mountain where he plays the drums. Kid Mountain is an experimental indie-pop band that is creating a buzz in the New England and surrounding areas as well as other various places with the release of its debut album Happies (2012). Goulet has helped with the creation of several music videos for the band, and continues to help with their artistic visions.
