Jesse Brooks

Jesse Brooks is a sports editor with the Tangilena Media Group, and on-air personality for WABL radio out of Amite, Louisiana. Before seeking a career in journalism, Brooks was involved in screen acting and songwriting. Though aspiring to be an actor ever since a young age; a lack of exposure to major markets, dramatic education, and crippling fear of the stage prevented Brooks from pursuing the dream. Brooks would later gain confidence as a performer after becoming a songwriter in his local music scene. Once the film industry brought it's business to Louisiana years later, Brooks reconnected with his passion for acting and began performing in small roles in films as well as major roles in local theater. He has also participated in Louisiana's comedy circuit, sometimes collaborating with writing partners.
