Susan Major

Susan Major is a railway historian whose book 'Early Victorian Railway Excursions' (published in 2015) focuses on working class leisure travel by train in Britain in the mid 19th century. Her doctoral research has overturned a number of myths about this theme and was carried out at the University of York Institute of Railway Studies and Transport History and the National Railway Museum.
