Hamideh Moeinfar

Hamideh Moeinfar, a young Iranian filmmaker born and raised in Tehran, began translating her personal interests and academic research into film shortly after completing her Masters in Sociology at the University of Tehran. She continued to explore her notions of perception and interpretation while reading a graduate program in Gender Studies at Lunds Universitet in Sweden, which resulted in the exploration of appearance in her second film Mariposa. In production of her third film Gladiator, Moeinfar has continued her exploration of interpretation; this time as it concerns narrative.
