Shammika Mukherjee (Tomar) is a motion picture and a multimedia producer. Born and raised in India, natively from Agra. Movies piqued her interest since she was a child. In 2011, Shammika moved to Los Angeles to pursue her degree in Bachelors in Filmmaking from New York Film Academy, Los Angeles USA. Since then, Shammika has been making her career in Film Producing and Directing. By the age of 22, she had successfully worked on over 100 projects which included Short Films, Feature films, TV reality shows, and independent content.
In 2015, she produced her first feature film "The Odd Essay" in Los Angeles starring Troy Doherty known for his work in "The Last Ship" by Michael Bay. Alongside, she produced, wrote, and directed three short films during her stay in the USA, two of them starring Shilpa Tripathi, former Miss India Universe Runner Up 2010. She also worked with Arun Vir, renowned Producer & Director and an Academy Nicolle Fellowship Finalist, on feature films and a TV show called "Romancing The Joan" starring Joan Rivers and Melissa Rivers.
In 2017, Shammika produced, wrote, and directed a short film "The Grief" with the renowned actor Sanjay Mishra and veteran actor Lubna Salim in India. "The Grief" won awards for the Best Film category at the Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival (2017), Mumbai Shorts International Film Festival (2017), and Berlin Film Festival (2017). Shammika has won several awards globally for the projects she has produced including a spot in Cannes Film Festival for the premiere of a short film "The Jury Duty". Her work was also distributed by Amazon Prime Video. Shammika joined Ipix Movies as a Senior Producer in 2017, working on a digital travel TV series called #Tripwithme that got massive attention in the media including viewership of 11 million on the videos.
Since 2018, she has been producing music videos for several recognized Indian artists like Indeep Bakshi, Manj Music, and Namrata Purohit (world's youngest pilates instructor), commercials, and digital content for high-end brands like BMW, Sony India, UberEATS, Zee Music, Panalpina, etc. Shammika's unique perspective in storytelling and global experience in filmmaking has been appreciated by the audience worldwide. She is adaptive to diverse cultures and has been producing content globally including in India, Kenya, and the United States.
