Jake Extine was born and raised in northwest Ohio and attended school at Bowling Green State University, graduating with a Bachelor's in film production. There he produced his first major production, a short entitled "Apothecary's Cage" (2017), on which he served as director, cinematographer, and producer. After graduating in 2016, Extine went on a 3-month backpacking trip to Brasil, Argentina, Chile, and Peru for $1500. He cites this as the turning point in his life. In 2017, Jake relocated to New Mexico to explore the desert & mountains, and continue to make a name for himself in the film industry. In 2018, Jake began development of his first feature film.
