Raised in Prince George's County Maryland, Vonetta Massey, since a young age has always desired to be an actress. During her childhood with the support of her loving parents Tony Butler and Tammy Adams, Vonetta participated in local beauty pageants and was signed to an agency shortly after. Throughout high school she maintained an outstanding grade point average which afforded her the opportunity to attend Towson University, where she also maintained outstanding grades, and was able to pursue her love of acting. She graduated with a degree in Theater Studies. After taking a year off to gain some "life experience" Vonetta moved to Los Angeles, California. To stay abreast and active in her craft Vonetta consistently takes acting and writing classes and is also producing an short film project that was written by her entitled "Nostalgia".
