Majdi Smiri, Tunisian actor, writer and director, started his acting career in Nouri Bouzid's drama film Making Of (2006). Majdi Smiri has a passion for hip-hop, that made him began his career as a rapper under the pseudo name Magui, witch he portrayed in Madih Belaïd's drama series Njoum Ellil (2009) with the role of Farid the mechanic / Magui the ambitious rapper.
After graduating from the School of Arts and Cinema in Tunis, he went to work for a production company for a year in France. He returned to Tunisia and founded his audiovisual production company, Underground Skills, in 2007. He directed several music videos, commercials and television programs such as Koujinitna on national television, Urban Fen on Hannibal TV and Ser El Benna on Coujina TV.
In 2012, Majdi Smiri wrote, directed and produced his first feature film Fausse Note (2012) starring Lotfi Dziri, Dhafer L'Abidine and Lotfi Abdelli.
In 2015, Majdi Smiri won the Best Director Romdhane Award for the Lilet Chak drama Series. In 2016, Majdi Smiri's Bolice (2015) sitcom won the Best Series of Romdhane Award of which he wrote and directed.
