Maureen O'Connor

The thirty-first mayor of San Diego, California (from 1986 to 1992) and the first woman to serve in that position. She was one of thirteen children born to local ex-boxer Jerome ("Kid Jerome") and Frances Mary O'Connor. She is credited with inspiring and originating the national resurgence in American streetcar systems in 1981.
